SALT Book – preorder

Salt’s upcoming book presents the restaurant’s ars poetica, its most beloved recipes, and the inspirations drawn from Szatmár cuisine. The book’s texts, the sources that inspired its design, and its visual language together convey the spirit and attitude that have made Salt such a distinctive and cherished place.

Salt’s dishes are connected to the Szatmár region in a way that pays homage to tradition—honoring recipes and techniques refined through generations of inherited knowledge. At the same time, they are presented in a form that makes them easily legible in the urban setting of the capital, in the embrace of Calvinist Square. The recipes in the book follow one another as the plates arrive at the table: step by step, we reveal and work with the raw ingredients, opening the door not only to new dishes, but also to their regional and local origins. The book’s mission is the same as the restaurant’s: to create a context in which Salt’s work can be understood and enjoyed, without form ever overriding content.
